In this tutorial let us see how to use INDEX and MATCH with multiple criteria
To lookup values with INDEX and MATCH, using multiple criteria we need to use an array formula.
Let us see how this works now.
This is our example, with data in columns B,C,D,E and let us try fetching value in cell H8 with the multiple criteria in column H.
Let me type the formula in cell H8 as =INDEX(E4:E13,MATCH(1,(H5=B4:B13)*(H6=C4:C13)*(H7=D4:D13),0))
And press Ctrl+Shift+Enter as it is an array formula, you will see the result as 2068, which is exactly same as the highlighted.
In this way, you can use this formula in large databases.
